Our 8:30 am worship, held in Moyer Hall, is contemporary in music and style. Each service is led by The Bridge, our worship band consisting of guitars, drums, keyboard, and vocalists. The relaxed atmosphere encourages the participation of worshipers, including our children who have their own special time during the service. While nursery care is provided for all services, children are especially included in our 8:30 worship. There is a time when the children are invited to gather at the front of the worship space. There, we talk to them directly, often using props and sharing stories that relate to the theme of the day.
At 10:45 am the congregation experiences a traditional, liturgical style of worship which is held in our historic sanctuary. The music in this service, led by our adult choir and organ, includes traditional and contemporary hymns as well as an anthem by either the adult choir or the children’s choirs.
If it's been a while since you've shared in church life, come visit St. Luke's. It's small enough to be friendly and intimate, yet large enough to provide multiple settings for worship & service. Our Sunday services are very "user friendly", handicap-accessable, and easy for first-time visitors. And, the sermons are not only "good news," but they are designed to relate to the issues we face in everyday life. Come be refreshed and renewed. You'll be glad that you did!
